2026-2027 ILEA International Leadership Positions
The ILEA Nominations Committee is seeking candidates to serve on the International Board of Governors or as Regional Vice Presidents for the following positions:
International Director
up to three (3) open positions

Term of office: three (3) years

Eligibility requirements: ILEA member of good standing who has served as a Chapter President, Chapter Board Member, International Committee Member, or has other high-level board or leadership experience.
International Officer
three (3) open positions

Open positions: Secretary, Treasurer and President-Elect

Term of office: one (1) year

Eligibility Requirements: Ideal candidates are present or past members of the Board of Governors.
Regional Vice President
one (1) open position

Open position: US Midwest
-
Term of office: one (1) year with an option for a second-year term

Eligibility Requirements: Ideal candidates are those who have served as a Chapter President.

Current RVPs who have served their first year and confirmed acceptance of the second-year term will be included on the election slate when presented to ILEA members.
The International Nominations process is led by the International Nominating Committee, whose mission is to ensure a transparent, equitable, and inclusive pathway to leadership within ILEA. The committee is committed to expanding and diversifying the pool of highly qualified candidates for international leadership roles, strengthening representation across our global community. Candidates for the International Board of Governors, Officers of the Board, and Regional Vice President positions are carefully reviewed and slated by the International Nominating Committee, and ultimately approved by ILEA membership.

Champion the Mission: Actively support and advance the mission, vision, and values of the organization.

Bring Your Expertise to the Table: Share your knowledge and insights to guide strategic decisions and strengthen outcomes.

Be a Global Ambassador: Advocate for ILEA within your professional network and elevate its presence across the industry.

Invest in the Organization: Maintain active membership and contribute financially in a way that is meaningful and appropriate to you.

Lead with Integrity and Accountability: Uphold the duties of care, obedience, and loyalty through active participation—attending meetings, reviewing financials, providing fiduciary oversight, and engaging in board performance evaluations.

Cultivate Strategic Relationships: Support growth by fostering connections with sponsors, partners, members, and industry leaders.

Shape the Future: Contribute to strategic planning and regularly evaluate programs and services to ensure continued relevance and impact.

Lead Beyond the Boardroom: Serve as a chair of at least one committee or task force each year.

Develop Future Leaders: Help identify, mentor, and elevate the next generation of ILEA leadership.

Show Up and Engage: Participate in ILEA conferences, events, and key gatherings around the world.
