Can you tell me how to fix a transmission?
I started my vehicle this afternoon, moved the lever into Reverse to back out of my driveway, but absolutely nothing happened. The dashboard display shows the letter 'R', but when I press the accelerator, the engine just revves freely in place as if it's stuck in Neutral. I tried shifting into Drive, but the car is completely unresponsive. What could cause a sudden and total loss of gear engagement?
