Trying to figure out where to take CRV bottles and cans without wasting a day
I have been collecting empties for a while and now the garage corner is getting out of hand. Before I load everything into the car, I want to understand what actually matters at a CRV drop-off. Has anyone been through this recently and can share what is worth knowing in advance?

My own observation after asking around is that the basics are pretty consistent across smaller local spots. Clear, green and brown CRV glass bottles are usually fine, wine and liquor ones included, as long as nothing is shattered in the bag. Aluminum cans are accepted crushed or whole, which is a relief because sorting and flattening everything at home is a project on its own. While checking what people in the area mentioned, here is one of the places that came up, with a fairly plain description of the process and a note about a small extra on aluminum on Tuesdays, roughly ten cents more per pound. Nothing dramatic, but if you tend to batch your trips, timing matters more than it looks.
What I would personally check before going anywhere is whether they weigh in front of you and explain the rate openly. That single detail usually says more about the place than any listed feature.
